The fashion industry has been a major contributor to environmental degradation.
From excessive water usage and pollution to the overproduction of garments and
textile waste, the impact is undeniable. However, the industry has acknowledged
these challenges and is actively pursuing sustainable solutions.

What can we do to alleviate it:

                                #1. Sustainable Sourcing

                                #2. Renewable Energy Adoption

                                #3. Circular Economy Initiatives

Traditional manufacturing practices in the fashion industry often involve mass
production, resulting in overproduction and excessive waste. This inefficiency not
only depletes resources but also leads to environmental and social
consequence. The poor working conditions, low wages, and exploitation of laborers
in many parts of the world has raised concerns about human rights violations and
social injustice within the supply chain.

What can we do to alleviate it:

                                #1. Custom-fit, On-demand Manufacturing

                                #2. Transparency and Traceability

                                #3. Worker Empowerment

Fast fashion and the rise of disposable fashion consumption have contributed to the
industry's challenges. The demand for frequent wardrobe updates and the allure of
inexpensive garments have resulted in excessive production, exploitation of labour,
and a throwaway culture. The shift towards sustainable fashion consumption habits
involves raising awareness among consumers, promoting conscious buying
decisions, and encouraging a focus on quality, durability, and timeless design.

What can we do to alleviate it:

                                #1. Conscious Consumerism

                                #2. Slow Fashion Movement

                                #3. Collaborations and Influencer Advocacy

Intellectual property theft and lack of proper royalty systems have long plagued the
fashion industry. Design piracy, counterfeiting, and unauthorized reproductions have
undermined the creativity and efforts of designers.

What can we do to alleviate it:

                                #1. Enhanced Legal Frameworks

The fashion industry's traditional supply chain often involves long lead times, high
capital investment, and minimum order quantities that hinder innovation and create
financial barriers for emerging designers. To address these challenges, new
business models and technologies are being embraced.
